| The North Carolina Top 50 Challenge | ||
We want to recognize North Carolina's Top 50 wrestlers and encourage youth wrestlers to compete in three styles of wrestling. To do so we present the Top 50 Challenge, a mix of folkstyle, freestyle and Greco-Roman events that will challenge North Carolina's wrestlers. Points are earned at each event, compiled, and at the end of the series the Top 50 will be presented with unique awards to honor their accomplishments. |

The North Carolina Top 50 Challenge Awards will be presented at the NC USA Wrestling Annual Meeting in August 2009. Results will be released after the last tournament in the series. Following the awards presentation we will announce the tournaments that will comprise the 2009-2010 North Carolina Top 50 Challenge. Clubs interested in hosting an event in the series must submit the REQUEST FOR PARTICIPATION prior to July 15, 2009. CONGRATULATIONS TO THIS SEASON'S TOP 50!OVER 1400 WRESTLERS COMPETED IN THE TOP 50 SERIES TOURNAMENTS!Any corrections to the final standings must be emailed in prior to 13 May 2009 Standings Last Update: 7 May 2009 5:19pm ALL WINNERS MUST EMAIL US YOUR SHIRT SIZE BY JUNE 6, 2009!

Current point standings are available by clicking the link at the top of the page. Tie-breaking criteria have not been applied yet. The standings are listed by point leaders, then alphabetically by last name. The top fifty point winners will be awarded. Point leaders will be listed after the second event. Participation in Greco-Roman and Freestyle divisions in the same tournament will be counted as separate tournaments. Tie breakers will be decided by "Concerning the point system for the Top 50 Challenge, it was brought to our attention that allowing points to be scored in two different divisions was not equitable for the older wrestlers that have no Division to move up to, in consideration of this the following is the provided:
